What is a Broodminder membership?

A Broodminder membership provides access to advanced beekeeping tools, including hive monitoring and analytics, designed to enhance hive management and support beekeepers.

But beyond the features, becoming a member is also a strong recognition of our work. For the past 7 years, our dedicated team has been tirelessly developing one of the most innovative systems in the beekeeping world. Many of our team members generously volunteer their time and expertise, while our younger colleagues work full-time and rely on a salary. Your membership supports our efforts and helps us continue improving our services for beekeepers everywhere.

What are the types of memberships available?

There are two types of memberships:

  • Free Membership: Allows you to create up to 5 hives, but does not include real-time data or advanced analytics. You can have and manage as many devices as you want but you will be limited to 5 hives.
  • Premium Membership: Offers real-time data, advanced analytics, and unlimited custom dashboards. It is defined by the number of active hives in the system, with plans for up to 5, 12, 20, or more than 20 hives.
What happens if I create a 6th hive under a free membership?

If you create a 6th hive, the system will prompt you to deactivate one of your existing hives or upgrade to a Premium membership.

What features are included in the free membership?
  • Create up to 5 hives in the system
  • Unlimited devices
  • Basic hive monitoring (no real-time data or advanced analytics)
  • Check all the available features here

Note: Hubs and advanced analytics such as brood status, nectar flow index, productivity, and weather forecasts are not available with a free membership.

What are the benefits of a Premium membership?

How many hives can I manage with a Premium membership?

The number of active hives you can manage depends on your selected plan:

  • Up to 5 hives
  • Up to 12 hives
  • Up to 20 hives
  • More than 20 hives

You can have multiple devices and hubs across different apiaries while staying within your active hive limit.

Are hubs included with the membership?

All hubs require a Premium Membership. You are not limited by the number of hubs you use as long as you have an active membership.

How do I purchase a subscription?

Subscriptions are purchased directly through your MyBroodminder.com account. You can enter your credit card as a payment method. The subscription is recurrent but can be canceled at any time.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership plan anytime?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your membership plan throughout the year. The prorated amount will be calculated and charged based on your changes.

Do new users receive any special offers?

New users signing up with MyBroodminder receive 1 month of Premium membership for free.
